Description
A Test and Data Analyst ensures software quality while extracting actionable business insights. They evaluate system performance, design testing protocols, and clean datasets to bridge the gap between quality assurance and data-driven decision-making. [1, 2, 3]
Core Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test scripts to validate software functionality, user interfaces, and backend systems. [1]
- Data Cleansing & Management: Gather data from various sources, clean datasets to remove inconsistencies or duplicates, and maintain robust databases. [1, 2]
- Analytical Testing: Use statistical methods and A/B testing frameworks to evaluate product features, measure key performance indicators (KPIs), and test business hypotheses. [1, 2, 3]
- Visualization & Reporting: Transform complex test metrics and business data into clear, interactive dashboards (e.g., using Tableau or Power BI) for stakeholders. [1, 2]
- Defect Tracking: Identify software anomalies, track data-related bugs, and collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient bug resolution. [1, 2]
Key Requirements & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Programming & Databases: Strong proficiency in SQL is mandatory. Working knowledge of Python or R is highly advantageous.
- Testing Tools: Experience with standard QA and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Selenium, or LoadRunner).
