Description
A Software/QA Tester ensures software quality by identifying bugs, analyzing requirements, and creating test plans. They execute manual or automated tests, document results, and collaborate with developers to fix defects, ensuring functionality and usability. Key roles include building automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium) and performing functional, regression, and system testing. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Core Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Developing comprehensive test plans, scripts, and test cases based on project requirements.
- Bug Detection & Reporting: Identifying, documenting, and logging bugs in tracking systems, with detailed steps to reproduce.
- Collaboration: Working with developers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Testing Types: Executing various tests, including manual, automated, functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
