Description
Job Title: Software Tester / QA Tester
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester to evaluate software applications, identify defects, and ensure product quality. The ideal candidate should understand testing methodologies and work closely with developers and business teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements and prepare test scenarios/test cases
- Perform manual testing and/or automation testing
- Identify, log, track, and retest bugs
- Conduct functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and UAT testing
- Verify fixes delivered by developers
- Prepare test reports and defect reports
- Collaborate with developers, BA, and project managers
- Ensure software meets business requirements and quality standards
- Participate in sprint meetings (Agile/Scrum environment)
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC
- Strong understanding of testing concepts
- Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps
- Good knowledge of SQL basics
- API testing knowledge using Postman
- Automation knowledge using Selenium (preferred)
- Good communication and analytical skills
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or related field
Preferred:
- ISTQB certification
- Experience in Agile methodology
- Knowledge of Java/Python basics for automation
