About the Team

The CMC Synthetics Platform within Sanofi R&D leads process development of small-molecule drug substances in clinical stages. We seek a hands-on Laboratory Manager with excellent organizational skills to support laboratory operations and technology platforms.

Position Summary

  • Provide onsite services covering lab operations and instrumentation/equipment upkeep.
  • Execute experimental protocols in support of platform technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and training for Sanofi lab operations.
  • Support inventory management, purchasing, and shipping of chemicals and lab supplies.

Location & Model

  • Site: Sanofi, Cambridge Crossing (CX), Cambridge, MA
  • Workstyle: Onsite laboratory support
  • Collaboration: Scientists, EHS, IT, Service Engineers, CROs/CMOs

Laboratory Support Activities

  • Maintain equipment readiness; coordinate new equipment installation and material readiness for platforms.
  • Open/track work requests; coordinate with service engineers for timely repair and PMs.
  • Author and maintain training documentation for equipment and workflows.
  • Coordinate with IT to resolve laboratory computer issues.
  • Arrange shipments of chemical samples, bulk chemicals, and intermediates between Sanofi sites and CROs/CMOs, including international logistics.
  • Monitor and replenish HPLC/UPLC diluent/eluent supplies.
  • Generate experimental data by following defined platform protocols.

Requirements

  • Education: B.S./B.A. in Chemistry or related discipline with =3 years relevant experience; or a Master’s in Chemistry.
  • Demonstrated lab aptitude with hands-on equipment and instrument maintenance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and set/manage own schedule.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience working in collaborative team environments.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for training, equipment use, and SOP adherence.
