Reason for request – We need additional in-lab support for formulation development activities for multiple pipeline projects What are the top 5 skills/requirements this person is required have? a. Required Skill 1: Solid use of analytical instruments including HPLC, Dissolution, GC, KF b. Required Skill 2: Hands-on analytical experience in an industry lab c. Required Skill 3: Excellent documentation skills suitable for R&D and GxP environments d. Required Skill 4: Able to present findings to larger groups. Strong communication skills. e. Required Skill 5: Strong background in analytical sciences, chemistry and/or solid-state characterization. What years of experience, education, and/or certification is required? BS in Chemistry with 5 years of lab experience or Master’s Degree with 0-2 years of lab experience. What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification? Research presentations/publications. Experienced with and strong working knowledge of above instruments, with demonstrated strong lab skills. Excellent documentation skills, with GMP/ GLP experience. May have publications, or experience in presentation of findings to scientific organizations. (preferred but not required) Job Description: • Plan and execute assigned laboratory tasks utilizing standard procedures and technical understanding of various techniques to complete assigned tasks. • Independently generate precise, reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Document the experimentation per the regulatory requirements. • Demonstrate experimental precision and strong data interpretation skills and should possess understanding of core scientific discipline. • Develop protocols for more complex tests or experiments performed with less defined assays and parameters. • Ensures safety requirements are met when performing tasks. • Ensures timely delivery of high-quality precise data. • Applies basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and instrument related systems. • Presents findings of defined experiments to larger audiences. Requirements/Qualifications • BS/BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or related field with minimum 5 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred) or master’s degree with 0- 2 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred). • Experienced use of analytical instruments including HPLC, GC, dissolution, KF and chromatography data systems (i.e., Empower, Openlab, or Chromeleon). • Strong documentation skills and familiarity of GMP, GLP. Able to present experimental findings to larger groups. Strong communication skills.
