Pay $40-50 DPE Customer NTE BR $56.00-70.00 Temp to Hire 1901 Main Street West Point VA 23181 Shift: 7am-4:30pm M-F Will be an ongoing need, but we can't guarantee a conversion. Note from call: day-to-day- conduct physicals of new hires and RTW workers, schedule/coordinate/administrate, workman's comp tracking, resource of the mill, drug screening, MUST HAVE OCCUPTIONAL EXPERIENCE Position: Mill Nurse Responsibilities: • Provide care for work-related injuries and illnesses. • Conduct annual employee Wellness Screenings. • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for the mill. • Perform annual audiograms for all employees (COHC certification required). • Assist Safety Manager in the management of OSHA logs for Workers Comp. cases. • Administer allergy medications and vaccination shots (Covid, flu, tetanus, etc.). • Manage inventory of medical/safety supplies. • Conduct New Hire and Incident Response Team Physicals. • Maintain employee medical files. • Conduct drug screenings (random, new hires, suspicion, property damage, return to work, etc.). • Assist employees with Wellness initiatives (weight loss, blood pressure, etc.). • Assist with benefits questions. • Monitor FMLA/STD and assist employees with paperwork. • Serve as a gatekeeper of health services, rehabilitation, return-to-work, and case management. • Furnish appropriate staff guidance, research, and interpret medical documents. • Coordinate with the Company’s Worker Compensation Third Party Administrator (TPA) and file necessary Worker Compensation claims. • Advise and support management with medical and workers compensation issues. • Order pharmaceutical and/or medical supplies. • Maintain the medical product inventory and monitor medication expiration dates. • Perform administrative duties and other tasks as assigned by mill HR and Safety Managers. Educational Requirements: • Licensed Practicing Nurse with experience in emergency, industrial, or related medical services. • Ability to apply medical knowledge to address mill-related exposures. • Working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations (e.g., worker’s compensation, OSHA, ADA, Hazard communications). • Effective communication and computer skills.otor vehicles. 3-5 years of experience.
