Description

Position Summary:
Provide support for the development and implementation of state-of-the-art mass spectrometry and proteomics technologies to improve understanding of mechanism of action of drug candidates, safety profiles of novel therapeutics, or identification and quantitation of biomarkers.
Combine protein biochemistry and bioanalytical workflows to support complex sample preparation methodologies that will be integrated with the entire suite of protein mass spectrometry-based detection systems.
Independently following protocols and executing experiments with an analytical mindset to deliver high-quality data across multiple portfolio projects.
Partnering with senior scientist and key stakeholders to design key experiments and assist data analysis and interpretation.

Position Responsibilities:
Contribute to the design of experiments and independently perform sample preparation using various extraction, protein digestion and purification techniques for mass spectrometry analysis.
Develop "fit-for-purpose" assays and bioanalytical workflows, balancing rigor against study goals to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data.
Work with different types of samples (biological fluids, tissues) from pre-clinical species.
Assist in data analysis and interpretation, communicate results to team members.
Contribute to the setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation and/or other laboratory equipment.
Maintain scientific and ethical standards, including appropriate record-keeping and compliance.

Education and Experience:
B.S./M.S. in biological sciences, biochemistry, or related fields.
Recent graduate with 1 to 3 years of experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform complex sample preparation workflows (preferably for biological mass spectrometry) with minimal supervision.
Experience working in a laboratory environment.
Well-organized, self-motivated, and able to multitask with attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
Works well independently and in a matrix environment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Interviews: First Round: Teams Meeting / Second Round: Onsite
